A male student was walking around outside the K building when he slipped on a slab of ice that was twelve feet long and five feet wide at 3 a.m. last Saturday.
When police found the student, he had a small cut and bruise on the back of his head and was lying on the patch of ice.
The student said he could not sleep and was walking to the K building to get a can of soda from the vending machine.
The student slipped on the large piece of ice before he could get inside the building, was badly injured and could not get back up.
Police wrapped a blanket around the student and called a medic who treated the student and transported him to Good Samaritan Hospital.
Buildings and Grounds workers salted the ice sheet once the student was taken to the hospital.
There has been no further information on the student’s health.
